"it heavy, i strong!!"

these days she wants to help with everything!! planting flowers, feeding sadie, cooking (she made popcorn the other night. she poured the butter and sprinkled the salt and she was so proud of herself because she knew i let her do it herself and what a good job she did!!) back to what i was getting at.....she insisted on caring the tool box to help uncle d and papa fix the fence, while saying "it heavy, im strong!" i love seeing how much she knows she's capable of and how much she believes in herself!! with good reason my darling, you are strong and you can do hard stuff!!

back our ward in arizona there was the coolest young teenage boy that tanner and i taught sunday school too, i was so impressed at how sharp this kid was. so i asked his dad how they raised their kids and he told me something i'll never forget. " never underestimate what your children are capable of. no matter how young they are and what big project is being done, include them and they will learn a lot about themselves and so will you!" i love that, it can even be applied to ourselves as adults. i feel it so much in my present life experiences right now. i find myself saying, i can do hard things and i am capable of doing anything and doing it well!! as my tanner puts it "live your life and be positive"
